British Prime Minister, Theresa May, has invited Tottenham Hotspurs manager, Mauricio Pochettino, to join her cabinet as the Minister for Brexit, it has been revealed.
Pochettino, 44, oversaw Spurs’ exit from Europe inside just 2 months, a feat which did not gone unnoticed inside Downing Street.
A Government spokesperson explained: “Theresa May was thoroughly impressed at how efficiently Mauricio Pochettino was able to relieve Tottenham of their obligations to Europe, in just a matter of weeks.”
“Given his experience and proven ability to exit Europe so quickly, Theresa May thinks that once Article 50 is inevitably triggered, Pochettino is the best person to get the job done in a swift and expeditious manner.”
Mrs May is also said to be considering offering Jose Mourinho a position in her cabinet as Minister for Women’s Rights and Equality in the Workplace; though former Sky Sports presenters, Richard Keys and Andy Gray, are also said to be in the running for this role.
