British Prime Minister, Theresa May, has invited Tottenham Hotspurs manager, Mauricio Pochettino, to join her cabinet as the Minister for Brexit, it has emerged.
Pochettino, 44, oversaw Spurs’ exit from European football competition inside just 2 months, a feat which has not gone unnoticed at 10 Downing Street.
A Government spokesperson explained; “Theresa May has been thoroughly impressed at how efficiently Mauricio Pochettino has been able to relieve Tottenham of their European obligations to the UEFA Champions League, in just a matter of weeks.”
“Given his experience and proven ability to leave Europe in such an expeditious manner, Theresa May considers that Article 50 is highly unlikely to hinder his ability to get the job done.”
To complete her cabinet, the Government has said that Ms May is also considering offering Jose Mourinho a position in her cabinet as Minister for Women’s Rights and Equality in the Workplace.
